Regional market towns of Valence D'Agen (26km) and Moissac (26km) offer local specialities and historic sites, whilst Cahors and Albi (the Toulouse-Lautrec museum is wonderful) are slightly further away. The “Jack” in a set of playing cards was born in the local chateau!

There are a number of local markets that are well worth a visit, the best supermarkets are in Moissac and Valence D’Agen. Bulk wine can be found at the 'Cave' in Moissac. Locally there is a boulangerie, a convenience store, a pharmacy and a bar.

There are two very good 18-hole golf courses less than an hour from Negra and nearer still, are two 9-hole courses. Bordeaux and Toulouse both have excellent championship courses.
